This year I’ll be posting the first look at the 50 Book, or Grand Cipher, a code book of sigils used in the branch of urban magic called megapolisomancy.

The 50 Book is a master book of spell components or elements for use in future magical works. The greater the interaction between magician and the places used in the 50 Book, and the more in resonance the magician is with the magical works performed at the charging of each sigil, the greater use one will get from the 50 Book.
The 50 Book consists of 50 sigils: 1 for the magician who made the Book, then 49 sigils which map to 7 Gates (geographical locations), each which have 7 Keys (universal aspects of magia loci work).
Magia Loci is a dynamic and creative type of magic of place which, rather than draw on existing energies, creates or adds to those energies, strengthening their frequency and drawing them into resonance with a larger network of sites that heighten the isolate and non-natural aspects of Being. In short, magia loci work is that which helps break the individual from the grip of the world and their own bullshit, to become free to articulate what they wish to become.
The 50 Book will be open for any magician to use - the sigils will work better as your intention aligns with that with which they were created. Each sigil will be described by the magical nature of the Gate and the aspect of the Key that created the sigil; the uniting force is the creator magician - me, whose sole intention was the Birthing of the 50 Book for use in Black Magic. You do not need to have traveled to the Gates personally, if you resonate with their magical nature as described, you can tap into that or remake a similar Gate in your area.
As you become more familiar with the seven keys of magia loci and the power of this type of magic, you may wish to start creating your own 50 Book.
Some quick notes on the Keys and the types of Work with them, as an initiatory model of work.
The Keys reflect an initiatory model assigning aspects of physical, emotional, intellectual, and daimonic work in the following way. For the 50 Book, each of the 7 Gates will have 1 sigil each corresponding to this type of work.
Key 1 - Sovereignty - Aspects of Work that target Becoming more sovereign or cut away false identities or beliefs.
Key 2 - Armor - (the Physical) - protection, strengthening, defense. Tangible, physical works engaging your person.
Key 3 - Exchange - (the Emotional) - connection and interaction in a personal, intimate way; including partners, close family & friends, coworkers.
Key 4 - Design - (the Intellectual) - your built environment - your ‘mousetrap’. What and how you interact with it and how it shapes your thoughts, impacts your needs and engenders future goals. How your daily routines and movements shape your reality. Your home, school, job, commute, wherever you frequent.
Key 5 - Alchemy (Physical interaction with World) - your ecology: how the world impacts you - from neighborhood (its wealth, density, weather, transit options); the nature of it’s risks and resources and how you work them to your advantage. How you use what the world physically throws at you, how you digest it and parse the wheat from the chaff, turning lead into gold in an operative sense.
Key 6 - Illumination - (Emotional interaction with World) - your community: what activities and endeavors light you up, what you need to feel inspired, engaged, to grow, learn, become. Includes teachers, mentors, parents, bosses, people who are guides in your life and how they make you feel and how that transforms into your actions. The communities that drag you down.
Key 7 - Realms - (Intellectual interaction with world) - your culture and how it has crafted your knowledge, understanding, beliefs, and learning how that has shaped you. Your limiting beliefs and where they came from. The media you ingest and intellectual stimulation you choose, and where it is lacking. Discernment. Travel and learning about other cultures. What new knowledge you have incoming, and what old knowledge needs to go.
